The beat of this music is definitely something I've never expected Pat Simmons to perform, I pictured this song being a midtempo pop song or a slightly slower song.

I always have enjoyed this 1983 pop song, has that funky rhythm guitar and bassline, along with those "Doobiesh" vocals, an excellent 80's pop song, no doubt about it!!

yeah man ..the Sharp BoomBox with integrated Tangential-Recordplayer. Those where the days.
Cool Song and awesome Video. *TOP5*****
Now I beginning to miss my good old stereos.

I am just glad that you posted the song itself. I been looking for that song since the 80's. *uck the technical and trivial details.

I agree. If only more people thought so.

This reminds me of listening to the Doobie Brothers, I've always liked Patrick Simmons' voice.
why do you like vintage audio so much?

because it's built well, it has style and if set up correctly, it sounds good.

I didn't say anything about how the equipment sounds. I thought the video was great and more innovative than most here on youtube. I'm just partial to tube gear I guess. My vinyl comment was directed towards fins5's inquiry.

Oh, sorry then, I must have mis-interpreted what I read. Thanks for the compliment, I don't have much experience with tube equipment. It's hard enough keeping the older transistorized equipment going!

But where is the tube equipment? Technically almost all of the units you show are tranistor-based. The elements that are analog have no bearing on the sound(a vu meter, a scrolling tape-deck counter, etc.). One more thing..."audiophile" aren't returning to vinyl...they never left vinyl.

You're right, I don't have any tube equipment to film though. Once again, the video is just showing the equipment working, that's what I meant by soul. I can't really show it's sound. Must you really pick apart all these trivial technicalities?
