these sound great, but this has nothing on the original performances by hüsker dü.

When Zen Arcade came out I had a lot of fun reading the words and trying to fit them into Bob's awesome slurring careless singing. "Is that really what he's singing?" Chartered Trips is a prime example. Especially the second time he sings "I thought I owed myself a trip away...etc."

Anyone ever wonder WHY Bob will not don the Flying V anymore? I tell ya, I would just about lose it if I ever saw him put it back on ... It was part of the rock icon image that IS Bob Mould. The Strats are cool .. but as long as he's blowing the back wall off of clubs (as he appears to be doing these days), why not take it up a notch .. Bob, if you're out there.. If you're reading this: Give it a try :)

I completely agree with you Patatish. First of all let's not forget that Rock 'n' Roll needn't be that good to be great... None of any of the cats that Bob has ever played for would ever be able to play in a "Return to Forever" type band, one where there really are 'Monster players' .. How anyone can say anything to critisize the original Huskers is beyond me; it's like finding a fault with a rose for having thorns... thx.
