Ebooks are more convenient than paperbacks, faster to market, cheaper, better for the environment, and better for the authors, and yet 'book lovers' still cling to 560-year-old 'tree book' technology.

Why do we so easily let go of other types of media used for music and movies? This series asks why, and why not.

  • Needs to be shorter and more to the point - 5mins to get to the reason

  • @tamatisk Thanks for the feedback. A friend who is a bit of a marketing guru echoed your comments. To be honest, I was pretty surprised to see how long it turned out when I exported the 18 scene files to video. I'll recut a shorter version, and make the next 2x episodes punchier.

  • Thanks Joe and Jig. Now that I've got a handle on (painstaking) animation, let's see if I can dial it up a notch for Episode 2. Andy says 'Hi'.

  • Loved it. I liked the length too, there are way too many shorter videos on YouTube. You would have been cutting either jokes or useful information and would have been a loss if you cut it shorter like the tamatisk did.

    Thanks for the vid.

  • @TheatreBoothGuy Ditto AlexDerossard. My first novel went through a mass-market publisher and still had errors. With both ebooks I've been able to fix typos reported by readers within a couple of days.

  • @TheatreBoothGuy If you point out the errors most writers will fix these. The advantage is that when those errors get fixed you just need to update your file and you have the newest and better edition. You don't have to pay extra for the improved version like you do with the paper version.

  • While I really like the idea of e-books, most of the books I've read have editing errors that are typically fixed in dead tree versions. Hopefully, authors work to get the quality under control.

  • Great video Marcus! Love the graphics and animation, very nice :-) ~js
