My question for the 2008 presidential candidates: Each day 30,000 people across the globe - most of whom are children - die of preventable poverty-related causes such as inadequate healthcare, unsafe drinking water, and malnutrition. Should the United States be concerned with this statistic, and, as president, what, if anything would you do to reverse it?
