The Napa Valley College offers a 6 week Correctional Officer Academy which prepares students to work in the field of local Corrections. The course is offered three times per year and many jobs are available. Napa Valley College also offers a Juvenile Corrections and a Probation Officer Course in 2008. The only messed up part of this video is the SONG. RASCAL FLATTS FOR A TOUGH POSITION SUCH AS THIS? You really messed it up. This is a hard career, don't get it wrong. Work a day next to some of these inmates you will see.

Just remember that you have to be fit and it helps to be physically strong BUT it's 90% mental. Being a corrections officer is no joke, so be real sure you're going into it for the right reasons. If you're just going for the pay and benefits you could die in the joint... It's a deadly serious propostion.
