  • somehow Pete manages to give it all in layman terms without making me feel dumb or insulted

  • Really like the "Real Science" series, this is great! Could be a bit more detailed still, regarding how reactions occur, and why!

  • @okinod there are alot of companies who make them thermo shimadzu brüker and more. But who design them and how they are made up are in collaberation with chemists and scientist who make up an idea and with some help this theoratical technique will be testen in practical conditions.

  • Imagine the guy talking in the video very very skinny lol. Then imagine him throwing liquid nitrogen onto thermite

  • ...because you don't know who is playing with mercury

  • @JesusHChrist2000 Yes, except the cations are large charged molecules insted of the small sodium cations or so in "normal" salts.

  • finally a really good video

  • Congratulations on your work and publication ..(nice cover btw)...As you have all let us get to know you while teaching us about the periodic table, it makes us feel so proud of you, as if you are part of our family. Thanks for sharing your "real science". I just found your site recently, and so I am slowly catching up with the older videos. Great site!

  • So an ionic liquid is like a liquid salt?

  • Has anyone ever tried filling the chamber with an inert gas like argon and then analyzing the results at close atmospheric pressures. I would think you could filter the argon out of the results if you first "zeroed" the chamber without a sample
