Hi. I use also Deep Idle on and I experience a lot of lags while opening apps after turning the screen on. Usually after 15+ minutes. E.g. opening native phone app takes 3+ seconds. Have you faced something similar?

Try AOSP+ V 2.3 With Matr1x-14.5 kernel and choose the "lulzactive" Governor at the NSTools App - Also set "DEEP IDLE to ON

how exactly longer is the battery life?

@xjerlzx depends... but it seems that wake lock are handled better with this ROM and if you add a custom kernel with Deep Idle you will have much better battery life

I have this rom and used with glados 2.5 kernel it is super smooth. As for battery its the same as it was with gingerbread for me. I never have to worry about running out.
