  • 2) You are ALLOWED to step on the out of bounds line while making a throw-in! If you are inbounds and you step on the line then you are out of bounds (a violation).  Therefore if you are out of bounds and you step on the out of bounds line then you are still....out of bounds (which is LEGAL)

  • This is INCORRECT and a common myth!

    1) You have a 3 foot wide spot to make a throw-in AND you can go back as far as you want. Traveling is NOT in effect when you are out of bounds! You can shuffle your feet, jump up and down, do anything that you want within a 3 foot area for 4.9 seconds.
