New Dig Columbia, Pa Pt 1

Our full digging team finally got together for digging a yard. Five features were identified and explored. Three were true privy pits. The first was circa.1940. The second was from the 1940's. The third started in the 1930's and bottomed out with an 1880's layer. This feature was most likely dipped, relating to the long period of use. This could have been the original privy, since research on the home indicates it was built circa 1880. While the finds werent great, it gave us chance to try-out our video approach of video recording. Since the footage ran over 10 min, I split it into part 1 and part 2. Part 2 will be presented shortly.
