Why You Need the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He gave His disciple a KEY to spiritual power for them to be strong and powerful witnesses for Him, that is, the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He told them not to leave Jerusalem until they receive this promise from the Father.

Overtime, many have combined the "indwelling spirit" with the "baptism of the Holy Spirit" and taught that once we believe Jesus and are baptized in water, then we "automatically" receive this baptism of the Holy Spirit as well. But as we examine the scriptures in this video, may it be that you make up the decision whether this is truly the case.

This is such an important key to spiritual power in the Christian walk so it's important that we figure out the truth of the matter from scripture instead of abiding to certain traditions and teachings we have received in the past. May you be blessed with new revelation that Jesus definitely didn't leave you powerless to be His witness, but that you can be victorious, on fire, and full of miraculous working power to finish the Great Commission that He has given every Christian to complete!

Wow! I wish this had a million views because it is true. My only question is where does the bible separate the indwelling of the holy spirit from the infilling of the Holy spirit. I would love for someone to please explain this to me. Thanks.

First we must have faith in God, followed by acceptance of Christ as our saviour...by d Grace n mercy of God, u will b free from d bondage of SIN! THEREBY..2be part of Gods Children u need 2b BAPTIZE, this in turn will remove all ur past SINS! Without Holy Spirit power, no power is in the christians, pray for the Holy Spirit to anoint you, fill you, repent your sins, forgive others, help others, surrender yourself to God. By only asking & praying sincerely for Father God to baptise you, don't give up, He has a different timing for each individual to give this valuable gift, & only by this gift we can beat the devil bcos IT DOESN'T understand REAL spiritual tongue, be true in heart with God when you ask & discern it after you get it.

I totally get what you are saying...there is a difference, and one notices the difference when as a Christian you feel powerless and start to be overcome by petty battles. We need the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, the Power of the Holy Spirit so that we can have power and strength to preach the Gospel and overcome the enemy. uuum ok if we have the spirit there is no diffrence the baptizm happens at salvation and he is sealed in us till the day of redemption and i have never been baptized and ive used 2 of the gifts of the holy spirit god doesnt need any action to recieve power its by his will and liking when we receive the spirit i dont agree with this teaching at all and SPIRIT UPON? um ok for that we would need a diffrent spirit that gives us power seeing as how the holy spirit is already in us R u pentacostal?
