The way I found out Frostie was a boy was because he was trying to mate with my hand one day! You can get an idea by feeling Lily's pelvic bones by her vent. If she is a female, there should be about a 1/2 in gap between them. This is so the egg can pass through. If you are really curious, I have a video called "How to DNA Sex Your Bird" that has the 1800 number to call on it. Frostie is only loud when he is afraid. He HATES cats and ALL flying insects and hollers! Man is that loud! Wow!

That's cute! Frostie likes to sit on the music rack and dance when I play the organ or piano. Have you seen Frostie's dancing video yet? Just click on OnePickieChickie.

There are quite a few bare eyed cockatoo videos on YouTube and I notice they all make that little noise Lily makes. Frostie doesn't make that noise ever. I wonder if it's because he's 20 years old or because he's a male?

I don't know. Mabe.... At any rate you are lucky cause Lily can be quite loud! Lily is 16 years old and we THINK she is a female. We never had her sexed and that is what the breeder told us...... I have had her since she was 6 months old. Bare eyed cockatoos are so much fun! Lily helped me decorate the Christmas tree today :)
