Made in the 70's this motorized vehicle drives around your vinyl record and plays using a needle located under the car. Dubbed the SOUNDWAGON or MusicMobile.

Razyworks puts their spin on this retro gadget by coming up with their version, the VINYL KILLER. Not much has changed. Instead of plastic the car is made of metal. Unfortunately, the sound still sucks.

@thelazycomic - there were several companies that made something like what you are looking for. I had one that was from the late 60's. It was called The Rover by Masterworks. There was also a player from the 70's that had a shoulder strap and it would play while you walked.

Wow, never saw one of these. Cool "toy", but you're right, the sound sucks. I am trying to find a portable record player that I saw when I was a kid. It only played 45's, but was also cool. You stuck the 45 record into a slot on the front, kind of like CD players that self load without the drawer. The record would get sucked in, play, and the unit would spit it back out when it was done. My neighbor had one of these, and we're talking back in the 60's. Any idea on this ??

I bought one today from Razy Works which looks exactly like the original yellow VW model in this movie. On the Razy Works website only the Mini Clubman model is viewed. Anyway it is a very cool gadget indeed, it also looks very funny when the record itself is spinning when the Vinyl Killer is playing it. You can adjust the 'driving speed' of the Vinyl Killer with it :)
