His books are fictionalised accounts of (mostly true) events, so it's a mix of stuff he's seen and stuff he's come up with himself. I kind of wonder if he still remembers which are which now :)

Gervase is very entertaining. But I often wonder if all the stories are completely true. I think there is a lot of dramatic licence used in his performances. But I still laugh lots.
