I completely disagree with that. On the surface, it may APPEAR that way... but, it was DEAN he went to hell for. He loved that boy, he just had a hard time showing it.

Yeah, I totally LOVED how he actually minutes before he died APOLOGIZED for leaning too much on Dean, and admitted his shortcomings as a father, and that he DID love him, even if he made him sort of become a Dad at FOUR years old...
