Bad Harley-Davidson Evo Big Twin Lifter

Due to a sudden, loud valve train noise, I pulled the lifters on my '98 Wide Glide and discovered that two lifters are bad. There should be no discernable play perpendicular to the roller shaft. The $64,000 question is: How much,if any, of the bearing material that used to keep these rollers in place is now circulating in my oil pan or oil pump.
