From microsoft:
"we are aware that some of our customers have received an error that displays E74 on their screen. After investigating, we have determined that the E74 error message can indicate the general hardware failure that is associated with three flashing red lights error on the console. As a result, we have decided to cover repairs related to the E74 error message under our three-year warranty program"
So if you have not opened your XBOX 360, call them to get it fixed for FREE!

Well,I was thinking obaut doing that. But I just really like the games on my 360. The ps3 is just not my cup of tea. Great console though.

What it means is that there is a proublem with the UAV cable or the encoder chip in the box, Try useing another UAV cable.

Yeah the guy of customer support told me the same thing. But I really wanted the 3 year extra warranty and a new dvd drive.

You got to send it in for reapairs. But dont worry. I got mine back in 4 days! Thats pretty damn quick!
