@vctorascrt i so agree with you even if it wasn't a law i would use one anyway i just dont feel a small child is safe in just a seat belt and those of you who do i hope you never get in an accident

The bone structure of an adult woman is very different from the bone structure of a child. So the 4 ft 9 Grandma does not need a booster, but the 7 year old does. There are lots of studies on it to explain it. I am 5'2 and I wish the seat belt fit me correctly But I have the bone structure of an adult, so it is just a small annoyance.

Imagine if there was a woman 4ft 9 would she need a booster seat?
Some women who are shorter use phone books to sit on. Wouldn't a seat that doesn't slide be more practical? My son is 4'3", a 2nd grader, and 8.5 years old. He will be in his little backless booster until he's 4'9", as seatbelts are designed for adult men. If a $20 booster may save his life, why not use it?
