In this video, Diangelo Cicilia performs the piece Crystal Vermin, written by the composer Florian Magnus Maier, at the Handai Collegium Lecture concert in May 2008, in Osaka Japan. Crystal Vermin is dedicated to Diangelo Cicilia
About Crystal vermin:
A piece about the subterranean transformation of dead organic matter into crystalline structure.
The first part depicts the swarming of vermin, impersonated by the continuous ligados of the left hand and complemented by mosaique-like specks of crystal gleam in the harmonics of the right hand.
The subsequent tremolo part introduces the gleaming of the arising silicon structures. After an ornamental bridge of ligados, the form inverses symmetrically; the shining of the crystal drops into the lowest register of the guitar after which the insectoid whirling of the first part is reflecting in the high register at the end of the piece.
I've composed some pieces for contemporary guitar, I just uploaded some of them, I would be very glad if you would give me some feedback

@ddoree100 In the video you can see the performance of a Modern/ Contemporary composition written for the classical guitar. There is nothing contradictory about the title.
And in addition: The performance in this video is just amazing!! Well done! The piece is experimental and extremely difficult, but still seems to work very well for the instrument. So glad to see the contemporary classical guitar develop to such a high level, performance and composition wise. Thanx for posting!!
