The Top Ten Moves of Tiger Mask

Just so everything's clear, this is for the original Tiger Mask, Satoru Sayama.



Tiger Mask was born from an anime of the same name, and the gimmick quickly skyrocketed. Tiger Mask faced many competitors over the years, the toughest being the likes of Black Tiger(also the arch rival from the anime as well) and Dynamite Kid. Tiger Mask is often credited for revolutionizing the Jr. Heavyweight style, using agility and strength to create a hybrid style offense of high flying, speed, and some power thrown in for good measure. TM is also credited with creating the Tiger Suplex, Tiger Spin, and the Tiger Feint(but NOT the striking version of the move).

Hey SD when they decide to make a new Tiger Mask

can the former still wrestle as Tiger Mask?

Tiger Mask II came around when the original Tiger Mask joined UWF, and All Japan bought the rights to the character. The other two were brought about in New Japan(well, TM IV was technically introduced in Michinoku Pro).

Satoru Sayama still wrestles as variations of the character.

Before Misawa started using the move most famously known as the Tiger Driver, Sayama referred to the DDT as his Tiger Driver.

I wish we saw the Snap DDT used more often in wrestling today. IMO it's THE way a DDT should be done. Even Drew McIntyre's finisher isn't always done with the snap, and it's so much better that way.
