I remember standing at the top of the stairs at the scala ballroom in Runcorn Cheshire.UK. Susan was with her minder/agent? and walked past me on her way to the dressing room. Our eyes met and she gave me a big smile. I never forgot that. I was 16 years old she was maybe a couple of years older. She had just hit the charts with this song and sang it that night.. She sounded as good singing live as on the record. Let me tell you, the photos don't lie, she was absolutley gorgeous looking .

@donships It is about Bobby Darin. The composer was Sandra Dee who was part of the composing song for Hey Paula. It was the flip side. Janis Joplin made fun of Bobby Darin in her songs...his English was so bad and she would not have had it any other way. Good English is SO BORING much like you I think

Susan Maughan went on to become a saged and seasoned Stockard Channing who composed the songs for Grease.
