About Dilber:
Born in Kashgar, the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region,China. Dilber is an internationally known lyric soprano with coloratura technique.In 1993 she joined Bonn Opera and professional engagements have taken her to San Francisco, Sweden, Turkey and Japan. Her recordings include French, Italian and German repertoire.In 1997 and 1998,she twice won the Birgit Nilsson Prize.In November 2003 Dilber was awarded the most prestigious prize in China "Golden Record" and "Best performer".
She is considered to be one of the best coloratura sopranos of her era, with critics praising her "unparalleled beauteous voice".
Dilber has a marvelous voice, which remains clear and powerful even at the highest register. She does not overdo ornamentation as a coloratura soprano usually does, and her music and techniques are considered to be in perfect balance.


Some of the opera houses Dilber has performed in, are Amsterdam, Bonn, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Goteborg, Hamburg, München, Salzburg- and Edinburgh Festivals, Stockholm, Venice and Vienna. In Finland she has a permanent contract with the Finnish National Opera.
The orchestras with which Dilber has worked include Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano della RAI, VARA Radio Orchestra, Orchester der Beethovenhalle Bonn, MDR Symphony Orchestra, Dortmunder Philharmoniker, Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Frankfurt Radio Symphony, Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Slovenian RTV Symphony Orchestra, Israel Sinfonietta, as well as the leading Scandinavian orchestras.
Recently engagements have included: Don Carlos with Zubin Mehta, concerts with the
Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra, China concert tour, concerts in Taiwan,Singapore and Carmina Burana with Fabio Luisi in Leipzig and the New Year concert with Fabio Luisi and Swiss Romande in Geneva, Così fan tutte, Entführung aus dem Serail, Ariadne auf Naxos, Il Barbiere di Siviglia.

Dilber appears in numerous radio and TV programs. Finnish, Swedish, Uyghur and Chinese television have made documentaries devoted solely to Dilber's career, all nations naming her their "Nightingale".
