Kenne Lee Tonjes, "KT", 54 of Rancho Cucamonga, California died suddenly November 13, 2010 at Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 20, 2010, 10:30 A.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Pender with burial in St. Mark's Cemetery, rural Pender.Visitation will be from 3 to 8 Friday at Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender.

Kenne was born July 26, 1956 in Pender the son of Marlene (Westerhold) and Lowell Tonjes . He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. He attended school at District #82 in Cuming County and graduated from Pender High School in 1974. Kenne attended the University of Nebraska where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He graduated in 1978. Kenne farmed and was a meat inspector for IBP before moving to Southern California. He was manager at San Manuel Casino for the last 15 years. Kenne was an avid Husker and Yankee fan. He loved to golf, watch sports of any kind and come back to the farm to visit his Mom and Dad and the Nebraska clan. He had an extra special relationship with his nieces and nephews, being not only Uncle but Big Brother/Second Father and Best Friend. He will be missed greatly and remembered with much love.

Kenne is survived by his parents, Lowell and Marlene of Pender, brothers Kevin and his wife Gayle of Phoenix, Kyle and his wife Jody of Omaha; sister Keri and husband Tim Robinson of Pender; nieces and nephews, Miryka, Makrae, Erin, Tymaree, Luke, Tanner, Jake, Codee, Owen and Lowell Jordan and their families; many uncles, aunts and cousins and his extended California family.
