http://JosephSmithMormon.com has articles and details about the life of the prophet Joseph Smith.
This is the third of five chapters of flm about the Prophet Joseph Smith Jr.. This segment covers Joseph Smith's marvelous translation of the Book of Mormon, another Testament of Jesus Christ in our day! This wonderful book with heroes such as Mormon, Moroni, Nephi, Alma, Helaman, Samuel the Lamanite and others. The climax of this book is the touching appearance of the Savior to the people of ancient America after His death and ressurection. Within this book are many teachings and doctrines which were lost during the apostasy of the early Christian church.
Also included in this film is the Restoration of the Priesthood to Joseph Smith Jr., the organization of the True Church of Jesus Christ and subsequent persecutions by those who did not understand and hated Joseph Smith Jr.
We revere him as the prophet of this dispensation. Like, Moses, Noah and Abraham of old. We believe that Joseph Smith Jr. was called as a latter-day prophet to restore the Church of Jesus Christ, in its fullness, again to the earth.
Truly, he was a Prophet and I add my testimony to the millions who have humbled themselves and confirmed from God the truth of the Restoration. Joseph Smith Jr. was a Prophet of God, an instrument in the hands of our Great Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to lay the foundation of this work and to help bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man through his teachings, revelations, the Book of Mormon and the Priesthood restored for our benefit in our time. Jesus is the Christ, and Joseph was His Prophet.
