What a POWERHOUSE! GO DONNA!

I am 44 years old and I have loved Donna Summer AND Pat Benatar since 1979! I am disappointed that neither of them have made it into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame! I was happy to see Blondie make it a few years back though.

I'M GLAD DISCO DIED!!!!!

Disco is NOT rock but who cares. Never shook my ass to Hot Stuff. Pat Benatar is the rock chick and Donna Summer is Disco; ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ROCK ABOUT HER MUSIC BUT TRY TO TWIST IT SO IT IS. R&R HALL OF FAME IS A POSER PILE OF SHIT TO NOMINATE DONNA SUMMER/MADONNA BEFORE PAT FUCKING BENATAR AND JOAN FUCKING JET..FUCK YOU RR HALL OF FAME AND GAY MAFIA BASTARDS THAT TOOK IT OVER.

@innamorata40 What a idiot you are ! Here is one for your information... when accepting the grammy in 1981 for Best Rock Female, Pat Benatar said " how could I be the best female rock singer when Linda Ronstadt is still alive". They were both nominated that year.

We forgot about Suzie Quatro when listing female rockers from the 70's.

Donna Summer ranks #6 of female singers selling 178 million records worldwide. Not bad from a singer that hasn't made a full length album from 1992-2007. Donna's music will be forever classic.

Well, Love to Love Baby, Hot Stuff, Bad Girls, She works hard for the Money, Last Dance, Dim all the Lights, have all been used in commericals (and or for commerical endorsements). The song Take Me from her 1977 Album, was used as the opening for 8 years for the Wide World of Sports.

@innamorata40 You haven't a clue of what you are talking about ! Maggie Bell, Jean Millington and her sister June, ever heard of Fanny or Birtha; Kim Fowley, Joan Jett, Lita Forde the runaways. Joyce Kenndey, Grace Slick, Patti Smith, Stevie Nicks. Holly Woods and Sharon Alton of Toronto. I am sure you have heard of Linda Ronstadt .. all 70's Female rockers, of course Linda being the versitile one, recording pop and country and rock in the 70's.

Last year Donna should have got voted into 'The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame''. Not Madonna. Donna was a trailblazer in dance music. Madonna just copied everyone' style and culture and made money from it. She is not a great singer AT ALL. This performance and song Hot Stuff allowed Donna to win the grammy for 'Best Female Rock Performance" in 1980. Madonna can NEVER sound like Donna even on her bad day. OOOOPS Donna has no bad days singing. Donna is just fierce.
