I wouldn't consider myself a freak or a geek, nor am i afraid of society. Also what would you define as music? Just because you dislike a sound does not mean it is not music. For example, I dislike 50 cent. It does not mean that 50 cent is not music. Suffocation does not only fit the criteria for music but also for the stricter rules of "western music" which follows a 12 tone chromatic scale and will often make 8 tone scales out of those 12 or 5 tone scales, 3-5 note arpeggios etc.

You're gambling upon a three year olds taste. Its implying that music is determined by the taste of a child, when in reality that child's taste is just as legitimate as mine or yours. I like both suffocation and celine dion. As a musician I've gorwn to love suffocation for their extremely intricate song structures and rhythms. If you can't appreciate that you're missing out on something great.
