my dreams are [gone] and [buried]. ♥

losing a horse is like losing a best friend, a team-mate, a companion and a family member all at once.
horses bring the best out of us, they help us heal when we're hurt.
but what happens when they're not there anymore, and there's no one left to heal you from the pain that they're gone?

this horse meant so much to me. i never owned her, but i loved her like she was mine. everyone who met her loved her, really. my heart goes out to the people who had to be there and see her passing, i don't even want to imagine how heart-wrenching that must have been. i know you all tried your best, we all love her.
everything i would say about her right know is absolutely corny. but i really couldn't care less.

Dream,
you were, hands down, the best horse i've ever met in my entire life.
you've literally changed me as a person.
you've taught me patience and passion.
i cannot begin to thank you for the millions of things you've done for me.
you've always been that sweet horse, the one that anyone could ride without being scared.
you've helped me push through that wall i had put up with horses, you've made me not scared anymore.
you've made me succeed.
you've never, ever disappointed me.
i could always count on you, no matter what.

but early saturday, december 4th, 2010.. your body gave out on you.

i miss you so much words can't even begin to explain.

but i know you are watching over us, forever.

and even the day i die will not be sad, since it will be the day i will once and for all be reunited with you.

I know how you feel. I lost my sweet horse, Mcgregor. I still remember the feel of him nuzzling me. The last day I saw him, he was sick. The day after that, he wasn't there. I miss him so much, but at least heaven is a better place for him now. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Wow. I lost my first horse I ever bonded with. Her name was amazing grace. I called her gracie. She only lived to be 1 and a half. She was an all black morgan filly. She was amazing. I love her so much. I still cry over her and its been 4 and a half years. I have a scrapbook with an obituarary that was written in her honor and put in a magazine. I miss her. And Im sorry you had to lose your DREAM <3 Im sorry. I know how much it hurts and how lonely it gets.
