she looks like she's under the weather here, still a great job

it is good to see her taking challenge hello? and it is not that bad. And that idiot who keep saying bartoli should teach sumi jo how to sing. shut the fuck up. sumi jo is one of the best sopranos in the world. her technique is the best in the world.

I have a feeling that she cuts it in pieces to be able to sing it... i am not an expert, this is my feeling, especially after Bartoli...

Batoli has her own voice color and does Sumi jo.
It's just matter of who match their voice color and song, not "Who's better than one another?" Doesn't matter here!

@rmcinuk ... and how can you understand if you like a singer or not, if you don't begin to listen to them? :) moreover, i didn't insult her. i was replying to a person who said something not very flattering to bartoli. and then, why did you reply only to my comment when there are many many other comments about how much bartoli is better than sumi jo?

It's all a matter of personal choice! If you prefer Bartoli enjoy her, please don't come here making silly statements.
I never never insult other singers, I simply don't listen to them.
In my world Sumi Jo is and always has been number one.

She's a nice soprano, but the italians words are wrong and without any feeling. Just singing is not enough, she need to feel what she is singing

@primohomme: It does not just happen to be middle tone. Castrati arias are mostly middle tone with high coloratura since they had that kind of voices - some with wider ranges and higher pitches than other, but more or less... A soprano of Sumi Jo's type have to small range and cannot create the contrast between high and low notes so that is why it sounds odd.
Shes a Coloratura Soprano!! why is she singing a mezzo song?!?

Is not quite a mezzo song, it's a castrati aria. It just happens to be more middle voice :)
