  • who did he tie with?

  • It was a three way tie with Kim Do, David Douglas, and Mike Chat. I believe David Douglas won, but this form was still epic.

  • where was that sideswipe??

  • that would be the move right after he says "sideswipe" (see the messages above)

  • u mean an oldschool sideswipe is today's aerial switch?

  • yep

  • @birdhouse555 aerial is known as a cartwheel with no hands, done in karate and gymnastic forms, and its also known as a maneuver, like when a fighter jet does a barrel roll to dodge a missile, its called an aerial maneuver...

  • @OldSkoolKarate 3 way tie - kim do, richard brandon, and jon valera. jon won =)

  • @birdhouse555 and he called his doubleleg a barrel roll...wtf?

  • @OldSkoolKarate ... ah, thanks for clarifying that! I have always been wondering over the years how the "Sideswipe" terminology changed from aerial switch to a super laid-back 540. Thank you!!!

  • @stylizhmathias /facepalm

    aerial

reaching far into the air; high; lofty

It's not like the tricking community invented the word...

  • Haha, "a huge aerial to start". Its a freakin' backflip.

  • Yea its a cool trick, its called a pop 720 double

  • who won this competition? If i remember correctly wasn't there a Jon Valera video for this competition for a tie breaker?

  • this has always been my favorite tournament, so many epic forms, so many epic competitors - Double D's form is my personal fav I think, and of course the announcing deserves a mention :P

  • The three way tie was Kim Do, Jon Valera, and Richard Brandon (wushu). David was the only one that didnt tie. I thought DD was definitely a contender for the win.
