The New Monster - Cleanaway's Iveco FL

I had been waiting so long to be able to find and video a Superior Pak / Iveco FL, and got the surprise earlier in 2009 when I saw this beast tucked into a small loading dock!

Unfortunately, because I was so desperate to get this truck on video, it took me forever to finally snap some footage of it! During the week a truck identical to this one works during the night, which made it hard to trace. However, when I got the rare opportunity a while back, I used the Saturday daytime run to my advantage and got this video from a local Woolworths store. Also a little something of interest; the actual loading dock of this Woolworths is above the store itself, so these four 1.5m's are individually lifted up an elevator to get to the dock.

I love the sound of this machine when he throttles her up, and the monster looks awesome in this new Cleanaway paint scheme! Just wish I could see it more often, but better sometimes than never I guess. A giant thanks to the driver for letting me film and giving a bit of rev during the lifts. Ahh yes this would be woolworths dock at Narrabeen. It is a shocking dock and is very primitive too. Isnt exactly easy to reverse a 32 foot trailer in there either!

Yeh I noticed the Woolworths trailers that come out of there are shorter with only two axles at the back. Must take some serious skill to get in that tight spot...

My dad actually works for the company that makes these trucks which is called superior pak. These trucks are called the pegasus frontlift. They are indeed a very popular front lift garbage truck. The volvo trucks are even better then the ivecos

Those flaps make the truck not spill stuff and make it look cool. Good job!

This is such an awesome truck, love the sound and looks of it and I really like how it has the flaps that extend upwards on all four sides of the hopper, that is a great idea and I dont understand why none of our FL's here in the U.S have that feature, because FL collection can be very messy at times and most drivers are'nt inclined to get out of the truck and clean anything up!

Great job! It was nice seeing this truck from several angles at the same stop... makes the difficulty of the stop very noticeable! There's a lot of things to think about at this stop... I'd hate to see a new driver here! lol
