Hasn't the driving force of Anglican history been bowing to the present political movement at the expense of fidelity to the authentic history of the Church? If the Church in England bowed to the sexual demands of one man, why shouldn't the modern Anglican Church bow the sexual demands of the many men now? The marriage that King Henry demanded was no more sanctioned by the Bible then is "gay marriage" now.

JI Packer is a man who is convicted that the Bible teaches truth and for us to try to redefine truth from abomination is essentially a doctrine from hell.

JI Packer is a wonderful theologian & man of God. Fortunately he is now recognizing what a decaying & mortifying state the Anglican denomination is in parts. The present celebrating of same sex marriages by the Anglicans acknowledges the fact that Anglicism has been in a state of rigor mortis for many, many years.
Is it now like a stinking diseased dog that only needs the last rites before it's put to death?
