  • @MunicipalMeep You can use the 6wt, with no problem. Most carp average 3-8 lb. If you targeted really large fish I would suggest considering getting a 7/8 or even 9wt, but for average carp your outfit is fine....God bless you, Italo

  • hey Italo what's a good weight fly rod for carp fishing? 7 or 8 probably right?

    i have a 6 weight that i use for bass and panfish.
