did anyone notice that from the 50s until 1993, the ladies would either tape or pin their (half) sashes during the evening gown segments? by 1994 to present time, all delegates have to wear a full sash. just my thoughts, that's all ;)

this is the first time little sisters were featured... back then little girls would want to grow up and become miss usa/teen usa/universe. nowadays because of donald (s)trump's fleshy insinuations, miss usa/teen usa and universe has become too sexy ;(

probably the most beautiful semifinalists ever. norway is prettiest, miss singapore is a cutie and miss usa is the most gorgeous.

Um dos mais belos concursos de Miss Universo, com candidatas belíssimas. A Miss Brasil 1983 Marisa Fully Coelho foi muito bem nas preliminares e quase se classificou. Infelizmente faleceu já há alguns anos por conta de um acidente de carro.

Una de las competencias más bellas y glamorosas de todos los tiempos!! A pesar de no ser una belleza espectacular la neozelandesa Lorraine Downes lució muy refinada. Igualmente MISS VENEZUELA con ese maravilloso vestido de corte sirena. Aunque luego Paola Ruggeri contó que se le habia roto el bretel y por eso dió un rápido giro para disimular el impase.
