Harvey Wrightman of Wrightman Alpines Nursery demonstrate the uses of tufa rock when planting alpine plants. Tufa is a light-weight and porous rock that can be drilled easily for planting cuttings. Visit www.wrightmanalpines.com
Very interesting vid, thank you! I've heard concerns about tufa, mainly in the risk of taking more from the environemnt faster than it can be replaced - that's one reason I've hesitated (apart from being able to get any!)

Tufa is fine, but I wonder if the salad of chopped yarrow and turnip and braised scoters will be all right on a tuff rock?
