  • From the numbers I have seen in my research, that is. I am neither pro nor am I against electricity (mostly coal burning) versus gasoline burning, as they have quite similar results and effects, as they are both carbon-based combustion reactions. And for that reason, you shouldn't be pro or against electricity versus gasoline power, either! So stop wasting money making these pointless ads that WASTE electricity and/or gasoline power to make!

  • @trecool212 Even when powered by the current US grid, electric cars are still cleaner than even the cleanest gasoline cars. See our emission summary at pluginamerica org/images/EmissionsSummary pdf (replace spaces with .)

  • How come nobody understands "bring in the face." There bringing in a good looking guy to replace that gas guy. It's all about commercialism, more green washing. If some good looking guy or girl says they care about the planet, more people are likely to believe them.

  • Personally I think this commercial sucks. 1. It's like a cheap knock-off of the Apple ads. (not that they invented the scenario) 2. "The balding eagles" line was amusing but I was too distracted by the guy in the hat looking into the camera. 3. It's kinda hilariously disturbing how Fabio's lip part twinkles. LOL it's nowhere near a toothy grin.

But, to the point: Stick to a more informative, honest type of ad. I get the POV, but the commercial is almost "Old Navy" cringe worthy.

  • These "plug in America" ads are the dumbest ads I've ever seen. They need to get to the point and say what they want to say. Their attempts at being clever are painfully unsuccessful.

  • @pluginamerica though there will always be improvements to be made that I can contribute towards. Thanks again for the link!

  • @pluginamerica lots of reliable sources cited and condensed into one data set and conclusion makes me a happy reader. But now comes the problem of actually engineering the plug-in vehicles- one year left of high school then I'm off to college to major in engineering, so maybe I'll be able to work on that when my time comes! Not much I can do to help now, but you've got me on your side, so when it's my turn to do something, I'll be able to contribute, assuming it hasn't been completed already, t

  • @pluginamerica thank you for the data, I'll take a look at it

  • Where does 54% of the world's electricity come from? BURNING COAL! STOP BURNING GASOLINE, START BURNING MORE COAL! BECAUSE COAL HAS NO EMISSIONS NOR ANY NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS WHATSOEVER! ( /sarcasm ) Thought "the Balding Eagles will always have a home in our oilfields" was rather funny, but other than that, the whole "Plug In America" concept is all off. Gasoline and coal emissions to energy ratios are quite similar, so it essentially makes no difference which is burned.

  • Gas companies ought to do a response. It'll show the electric sponging money off of taxpayers thru government subsidies.

  • worst commercial ever. not only does it make no sense but it blatantly rips off apple. whoever came up with this crap should be ashamed.
