  • ...NOT die in regions near the equator, or if protected from the frost.

So I took in several tomato plants and cut some of them -the big ones- short, which meant they lost ALL their leaves. And some smaller plants I left intact.

The bigger ones -WITHOUT LEAVES- have now dried out and look dead. Will they start again in spring? The roots still seem to be OK.

The smaller ones on which I left the leaves are intact, growing very slowly.

Your pepper plants look very good!

  • @suddenlyitsobvious As long as the roots are alive, the plant will put out new leaves somewhere.......more than likely right at the soil line. Keep the soil from getting too cold. Water and then allow the soil to dry out a bit between waterings. If the roots are alive you should see some new growth in a few weeks at the latest.

  • where can i get that exact window sill plant pot you have...cant find one anywhere with inside pot as well

  • @davewaughdave I got that at walmart. They carry them every year and toss them on closeout during the late summer.

  • @Praxxus55712

    Thanks, I'll wait & see...

  • ...how everything has grown & I can't wait till spring when the growth potential is gonna be massive.

I have a question: I'm keeping some pepper plants inside for the winter & they're small but obviously growing nicely and, I kept some tomato plants to have a head start planting them in february or so (I live in the south of France), so as to already having bigger plants with developed root systems.

I know tomato plants only die because of winter on latitudes they're not native of, and will...

  • Hi,

I only started getting into gardening this summer and almost immediately got EXTREMELY excited about it. I live near a castle and have access to massive amounts of pigeon manure and have basically stuffed the soil with hundreds of kgs of it and many hundreds more of kgs of organic matter.

I know all the manuals say too much of anything is bad but quite frankly, I don't have that impression. Considering I only started planting stuff in july/august/september it's amazing...

  • you are a plant ninja...

  • I watch all of your videos i had started a garden just like you
