  • I LOVE BABY SIS!!! She is the only other singer after Prof. Bradford that I want to hear sing it. I grew up watching them on Jubilee Showcase every Sunday morning on Channel 7 out of Chicago, IL. Love this post...keep it up mane!!!

  • I know..doesnt her voice just pierce your soul!!

  • There used to be a clip here of this song 'live', I think it was on TV Gospel Time, where Ruth tore it up! Anyone remember that?

  • Thanks for sharing the Davis Sisters. Almost a year ago my grandaughter was listening to some songs on youtube and I asked her if she could see if they had old gospel songs like the Davis Sisters,Caravans,Clara Ward and such.I've been listening every since. Thanks again and God Bless! I should be sleep; know I have to get up and go to church soon.

  • If you have Jesus Is A Waymaker please upload it! That is my jam!

  • Love all of the Davis Sisters songs !!!

  • Dorothy Love Coates was a great composer and singer. I remember some of the songs she wrote while the bus boycott and sit-ins were going on in the south and other parts of the country one of which was "They've Got The Word" and others. Mrs. Love was very encouraging to me during those rough times. I was living in Chicago during the sixties and it was no fun, but, I always had my church and the gospel music of the caravans, davis sisters, dot love-coates and the original gospel harmonettes.

  • This is an alternate take. It's fascinating to compare this version with the one officially released and included on "When Gospel was Gospel." I think the released versions were always the best ones. But even a foretaste of glory is plenty divine when you've got Baby Sis warming up on her best number.

  • I'm tickled. I know she and Clara tore up the Ed Sullivan Show singing I Won't Be Back! Any you know that danced! Ruth could STOMP!!!!

  • ruth better sing!

  • IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG
