In mid-April 2010, Avista staged a mock electrical accident in a rural area outside of Addy, Washington. This video, designed for Avista employees, captured events on site.

This video was created for Avista employees, but we're happy to share our this with you, our customers.

This was only a mock accident and no employees were injuried. All local authorities were informed this event was to take place prior to its occurance.

  • Do you guys actually issue all your live work crews with defibrillators?

AEDs were originally pioneered with funding from the power industry specifically to save the lives of linemen. It's taken a while, but at about $1000 per unit EVERY linework crew should be issued with one.

If you DO issue ALL your guys with defibrillators then you are setting the standard that others should follow.

  • Oh yeah spokane ftw!

  • Shock paddles talk ooh!

  • Good job Travis! Good job team!

  • LINEMEN ARE HEROES! THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!
