Försvarsmaktsdagarna, Karlberg - Stridsförevisning

Now, my phone isn't a dedicated video camera - thus the jerky zoom and the shaky camerawork. But I'm quite pleased with the footage nevertheless.

Combat demonstration at the military days at Karlberg, Stockholm. The narrative - such as it is - involves a group of local rebels (left) attacking civilians (middle). Fortunately, at that moment a section of Swedish peacekeepers enter stage right, and - according to the programme - "make themselves known in order to stop the conflict ... as far as possible through dialogue rather than force of arms".

Yeah... We didn't come here to see dialogue, so thankfully the shooting starts pretty promptly. Got some brass at the end, too - they invited people onto the field to pick up a casing as a memento. I'm sure the fact that it tidied up the field was completely coincidental. ;-)
