In 1976, a reporter (Richard Wyatt) for HTV West in the West of England was recording a piece to be used to publicize a coming air display. He was hit in the head by the leading edge of a low-flying aircraft demonstrating precision flour-bombing. The aircraft was intended to fly behind Richard Wyatt at very low level, but actually hit the reporter as it passed!
Richard survived, and was still presenting on HTV 10 years later when he was reminded of the event.
This clip (recorded off-air in 1986 by a V2000 video recorder) tells the story...
"A little disagreement with an light aircraft"
English people are too polite.
