Sonic Megamix - Mega CD/Sega CD

hey guys. just showing some of the features of the hack sonic megamix for the mega cd. plays really well and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the old 2D sonic games

To play this on a real Mega-CD, do you just save the game file onto a cd?

@SomeFluffer64 you need to get the iso for your region mega cd so for pal you need the E version and for ntsc us u need the U version and japan is obviously J

but then you just burn the iso to a cd-r at the slowest speed possible and your good to go man

Thanks for the promotion, and glad to know that you enjoyed Megamix! I'd like to address a comment you made at 3:27 though, since it's not an uncommon misconception- This uses bits and pieces of Sonic CD just the same as it also borrows from Sonic 2 and Sonic 3, but it's actually built from Sonic 1. After version 3, I personally "ported" the whole thing to Sega/MegaCD in a similar manner as my earlier "Sonic for MegaCD"; A bit more involved than it "simply" being a "Sonic CD hack" might imply :P

@WickedClownNZ The difference between the Megadrive and MegaCD versions is development progress. The MegaCD version is the newest (listed as 4.0b), which immediately follows the Megadrive version you likely played, 3.0. "4.0b", which isn't exactly the best designation given the circumstances under which it was released, represents newer content, but was released in an unfinished state, and is less stable than 3.0. A better, final "5.0" MegaCD version with more new content is still in development
