A flurry of solar activity in early March dumped enough heat in Earth's upper atmosphere to power every residence in New York City for two years. The heat has since dissipated, but there's more to come as the solar cycle intensifies.

Tesla could harness it. Why can't you NASA? You have to be Conscious...

The take-home science message WRT the failed CAGW theory is that CO2 in this instance actually acts to PROTECT us from catastrophic solar heating by re-radiating 95% of the heat energy back out to space.

This is even more proof along with the absence of the predicted 'hot spot' in the mid tropospere that CAGW is an unfounded claim by a world political organization, the UN, to afford them more political control over us & undermine our national sovereignty..

Hold on, Al Gore. This video just said CO2 in the atmosphere BLOCKS OUT heat and keeps the planet cool.

So, NASA says it's a cooling mechanism. Gore says it's a heating mechanism.

    I'll go with NASA, thanks.

More importantly, the video refers only to the energy of particles ejected by the solar storm that hit the Earth, not to the typical energy reaching Earth 24/7.

Anyone coming here from a link in an article that says these findings "debunk global warming", please listen to what is actually being said. The video refers to energetic particles from a solar storm, NOT to the regular EM radiation received by the earth 24/7. The article is, intentionally or unintentionally, fantastically mishearing what's being said.

The energy transfer described in the video relates to the particles flung at earth from this particular solar storm, and not to the typical electromagnetic radiation being absorbed by the earth 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Where did this come from? And how does it relate to the video?

I don't understand what your issue is here. They said pretty clearly that high-energy particles from the solar storm transferred energy to the upper atmosphere, and that 95% of the storm's energy that reached the upper atmosphere was radiated back into space.

    What's not 'straight' about that?

They have and did successfully work until the tether overloaded and snapped. if you search NASA Tether you will find it though its popular because people think it has UFO's on it but I'm not so sure /watch?v=ce6QUJ0idYo and could just be a distraction from what NASA were actually doing in this experiment (free energy, right above our heads)

Liberals operate their agenda off of emotion because they have no solutions to anyone's problem. In fact, these commie pigs running our country create nonsolutions to manmade disasters so they can pass laws to control our lives taking away our liberty one stinking Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama presidency after another. Throw them all out because now we have real data that makes Nobel Prize winners like Al Gore and Obama look like raging FOOLS!
