2nd PIPJ Arthrodesis with Smart Toe Implant from MMI

This is an arthrodesis or fusion procedure for a 2nd hammer toe using a Smart toe implant for fixation. This video shows the technique for the procedure. This is a new treatment option for hammer toe surgery and is very predicable. The Smart toe implant I prefer is the angled version which allows a more normal appearance to the toe and the toe also sits down to the ground better.
