so practice your higher chest tackle and your grapils

everyone knows how to tackle a guy standing still, i wanna know how to tackle someone who isn't trying to get tackled.

Go for their never regions, or if they are going to try and budge you out the way grab the furthest part of their shirt and drag them down with you, or use their momentum against them take the hit but make sure you have wrapped your arms around their legs and then just drop to the ground, it brings them down also. :)

Ive played both, like everyone else that has played both they will tell you that american football has the potential to deliver much higher impact hits. But when one is talking about tackling form rugby has it. This is obvious since the only legal hit in rugby is one below the chest with attempt to wrap. Hence one has to make a tackle 'textbook' style to make a hit. In football the players can tackle with whatever theyd like. I can simply shoulder and forearm someone, and higher on them as well
