This song epitomizes the romantic innocence of those years. When men (boys really) went off to face demons in Europe and in the Pacific ... and won. Many of them listened to music like this. Music that reminded them of what they had left behind in the call of duty. Many of them never to make it back to those sounds from their local bandstand. To their memory. We are forever grateful.
