This is a beautiful rendition of the classic Jim Reeves tune, recorded at the Ohio Fingerstyle Guitar Club http://ofgc.bizland.com in Feb 2005. This clip has some nice close-ups of Scotty's hands. To learn more about Scotty check out his website at http://scottyandersonguitar.com/

  • A wonderful tune instrumentally done so in such a tasteful manner. Scotty and Bob are truly great musicians teamed togther in this jam session and the great sounds coming out of Scotty's Tele is fantastic. What a treat the world has just viewed. Scotty is a world class guitar picker. Lots of creativity and loves what he does.Bob compliments him very well....

    America loves your work....10 stars.......

  • What a beautiful rendition by two excellent guitarists....Scotty's harmonics always are a treat and truly beyond what other guitarists attempt to do. He is such a natural guitar picker. Truly underrated in my estimation. He has got all the chops so down and executed to perfection......He is a guitar pickers guitar picker all the way....10 stars on this one........I am one of his many fans......10 stars....__++++

  • Wow, that was so beautifully done!!! Not just a masterclass in guitar playing, but a gorgeous piece of music!

And I know Scotty is one of the greats, but Bob Saxton really impressed me! I know he's an older fella, but I've only just heard of him from these clips. What a great solo he plays on this tune.

  • Great job, guys!

  • Love to hear you play that fast Jazz, but this slow smooth stuff just blows me away. | |

  • Check that magnificent run by Anderson at the end of the tune, and the crowd reaction to it: slicker than owl shit, jack!

  • This is music. Masterful, tasteful and far, far above what you'll hear 99% of the time. It's never about technique for technique's sake. It's about the song and what it needs and this is textbook!

  • Rick36561 If you think this is good check out the 80's Yamaha clinic clips on yotube. Of all the Scotty footage even better than the 96 Caas event; I'll take the 80's Yamaha clinic but its only one opinion. mastercollector

ps the 80's Yamaha clinic has great technique, speed; it's some of the best guitar playing I've seen!mastercollector

  • Wow!!!! Beautiful, and fantastic!!!!!
