Speaking from an engineering standpoint, that is a pretty large faux pas. For that matter the whole mix is off. With that said, I still love this song!

One of the things people keep forgetting is that the Flute carries the counterpoint at the end of the song, and I agree that you need to mike and up the output of the flute, or cut back on the strings so that it doesn't overwhelm the woodwinds.

Flute should have been the dominate instrument.... guitar should have been secondary... don't try to put your own personal touch on a masterpiece.
