And not only is putting those sharps in a flatted key wrong, but also against music theory rules that I'm guessing all composers follow. My issue is that he is reading these notes off of paper on his stand, so a.) he really doesn't know them and b.) he's using other illegitimate sources to teach. From what I've seen, expertvillage does not hold credibility. I hope these videos are a satirical joke, but if not, I think this is quite detrimental for people trying to seriously learn online!

For clarification... Eb-Gb-Ab-A-Bb-Db-Eb Personally, if I were playing the blue scale for the first time on the saxophone, I would try it on D. D-F-G-Ab-A-C-D. In this key, you can see how every note belongs to the natural minor scale except for Ab, which is the tritone (a great dissonant tension-builder). He never mentions why this scale is useful either. Every note in this scale will sound good in relation to another note in the scale and also sounds great in the first note's key: Have fun!
