  • If people don't have a significant education about math, science, history, and english. If we don't learn these things, then we are stuck with people that think paul revere warned the british, and that the civil war took place in the 16th centry, and that the earth is only 3 thousand years old! I agree with something you said, but if mankind is going to survive we need to teach and learn.

  • College is not so great. You basically spend $100,000+ just so you can put on a job application, "Look at me! I went to college so that makes me the best choice." That's it.

  • @Philosophicated Learning history is very important. We understand who we are as a society and how we came to be so. At the very least, history can teach us mistakes people made and how we can avoid them as well as emulating past successes.

  • If Bucky doesn't want to be told what to do, then he should never get married.

  • Given the current economic climate, I guess its normal for people to feel hard done by, when completing their degrees and not finding work, im in that situation now. I loved my time at university, it opened my mind to new ideas and new people. Plus having free university education in Ireland really helps!

  • Preach! ... I went to college with people telling me "I'll get a good job if I get a degree", 6 years, $80,000, and a programming degree later, i spent 7 months looking for a job, finally landed a part time job at Best Buy... Luckily I finally got a decent job, but it was really scary for a while...

  • Hmm, I can understand what he's saying. Personally, as a programmer I am more of a hands on learner. I am currently in college, and I can't learn any of the codes taught in class until I actually go and build them myself. But, I feel college is still beneficial for the guidance in your own learning it can offer. I research information online (how I found this channel lol). But, I can get stuck on research, with college I can get a guideline of where to look. But, ultimately its up to me to learn

  • @MXR789 People in general are still retards, schools or not.

  • I agree, why should a nurse, lawyer, mathematician, or computer programmer need liberal arts. Its useless. At the very least, they should keep that stuff in high school.
