A montage of a number of blasts in a hard rock mine. These blasts were all initiated with state of the art electronic detonators. In some blasts, more than 1500 detonators were used.

  • The detonators used in his blast is electronic. The detonators are accurate to the millisecond and can be timed for up to 20seconds in 1 millisecond intervals.

There are many systems out there, I work for Dyno Nobel, Asia Pacific, you can check out their website for more info. Just Google Dyno Nobel

  • What do you need to know brother

  • How do you get a job in the Australian Mines as a shotfirer?

  • @Hubecube01 Is this what a Mining Engineer can major in?

  • Noise and fly rock exceedance would have your arse on the line in the Hunter Valley NSW Australia. Can only go that crazy if you dont have any townships close by.

  • For the most part I saw a lot of rifling and flyrock. If you were using IKONs or some other kind of electronic dets you shouldn't have these issues...or your not using them the way they were intended.

  • how much tolerance kuz-ram prediction method with a split desktop against fragmentation analysis after blastings, thanks for the answer

  • that was awsome wish i could go fishing with that stuff

  • what exactly are they mining for?

  • First thing I heard when I got here from r/destructionporn is Rammstein... and I thought wtf did they blow up Vegas during the tour? Awesome song, awesome explosions, awesome video.

  • I work for Drill management Inc. that also work with Dyno mainly in PA. MD. WV. VA. where at do you shot shots of this magnitude? I mean the vibration must be horrendous, I take it there is no neighboring houses around and I see ALOT of fly rock? do you not stem the holes where you are? or do you employ a different method of shooting where your currently blast at?

  • U think they over did it?
