Beautiful composition by Ilayaraja.
I wish he didn't give the female vocals to Preeti Uttam Singh :) I guess he was giving an opportunity to Uttam Singh for his years of service.
Anyway, SPB gives his typical flourishes in the song. The unique aspect of this song for me is the way the 2nd interlude starts before the pallavi ends. Lots of such innovations in the song.
